Artsy Antics (Ages 5-7)
Dates: June 9th - 13th OR June 23rd - 27th from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Description: Calling all artisans in the making! This camp will explore all kinds of creative expression, from dance and performance to beautiful works of 2D and 3D art. Enjoy exclusive activities with our in-house art instructor, view our museum through a new lens with a photography scavenger hunt, and explore how science can create mesmerizing results! This camp will provide your little artist with ample opportunities to get their hands messy!
Silly Science Magic (Ages 5-7)
Dates: July 14th - 18th from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Description: Discover the hidden magic in the world all around us! Your little magic munchkin will learn to perform a variety of mesmerizing tricks, from water that defies gravity to potions that turn into worms, you never know what you might find next! (magic toads optional)
Scientific Sorcerers (ages 8-10)
Dates: July 7th - 11th OR July 21st - 25th from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Description: Consider this your letter of invitation! Come learn how science can bring out the hidden magic of the world around us. Uncover the scientific principles behind illusions such as moving pictures or holograms and explore the common household items that produce astonishing effects beyond your wildest dreams! Last but not least, your scientist can demonstrate what they've learned throughout the week by performing in our very own magic show!
Art Adventure (Ages 8-10)
Dates: June 16th - 20th from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Description: In this camp, we take the “Art” in S.T.E.A.M seriously! Campers will participate in exclusive activities from our in-house art instructor, which explore a variety of artistic media and techniques. They’ll blur the line between art and science through a multitude of hands-on experiments that produce unique 2D and 3D artwork to take home!

Prehistoric Explorers ( Ages 7-8)
Dates: July 28th - 1st from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Description: Embark on an adventure with Discovery Gateway and the Clark Planetarium as we journey to an age of colossal dinosaurs and prehistoric wonders! Campers will unravel the secrets of how prehistoric animals and plants formed intricate relationships with both each other and their environment. They will also discover how experts in the modern day dig up dinosaur fossils and how the process contributes to our understanding of the world in which they lived. Get ready to piece together the puzzle of ancient life on Earth!
Dinosaur Detectives (Ages 9-10)
Dates: July 28th - 1st from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Description: Join Discovery Gateway and the Clark Planetarium as we voyage back to one of the most cataclysmic events in Earth’s history: the extinction of the dinosaurs. Campers will discover how geological events such as asteroid impacts or volcanic eruptions reshaped life on our planet. Along the way, campers will experience the thrilling world of paleoscience, unraveling the clues buried in rock layers and fossilized remnants that provide signs of ancient phenomena such as drought. They'll investigate the secrets of catastrophic events that shaped life on our planet and discover how they echo around us today!
Cosmic Contraptions (ages 7-8)
Dates: August 4th - 8th from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Description: Join Discovery Gateway and the Clark Planetarium as we embark on an exciting journey through the world of engineering! Young inventors will explore the power of simple machines such as gears, levers, and pulleys which help us solve problems both on Earth and in space. Campers will engage with hands-on activities inspired by trains and rockets, learning how machines are able to travel across land and launch themselves into the cosmos. Through creative challenges and teamwork, they’ll develop problem-solving skills and uncover the wonders of engineering in action!
Galactic Gearheads (ages 9-10)
Dates: August 4th - 8th from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Description: Join Discovery Gateway and the Clark Planetarium as we dive into the engineering behind transportation on Earth and beyond! Campers will take on exciting challenges as they explore how machines drive trains, rockets, and other mechanisms. They’ll build and test contraptions to overcome real-world obstacles, whether it's experimenting with locomotive mechanics or crafting the perfect rocket launch. It's the ultimate experience for future innovators, problem solvers, and aspiring NASA engineers alike!
Registration is required per participant
- Please bring a printout of your registration receipt, or have it displayed on your mobile device when dropping off on the first day of camp.
- Drop-off and pick-up will be at the entrance to the museum’s Learning Center area located on 100 S in the angled parking zone just west of the North Parking Garage entrance.
- A museum staff member will be stationed there to assist with sign-in and sign-out.
- If you choose to park inside the North Garage, the Learning Center can also be accessed via the atrium on the ground floor.
- *Members make sure to Sign-in to receive your discount. Discount will be applied at checkout*
